Congregational Meeting

The members of Christ the King Presbyterian Church are called to a Congregational Meeting on Sunday, November 22, 2020 from 7:00 to 8:00 PM, preceded by a prayer meeting that will start at 6:30p. This meeting will be held virtually.

Business to be conducted at the meeting:

  1. Elect a pastoral search committee* for the purpose of recommending a pastoral candidate for Cambridge

  2. Elect church officers – the slate of candidates to be elected will be shared upon approval by the Session

  3. Share information with the church

Instructions for how to participate in the virtual meeting will be forthcoming.

Congregational Meeting (10/18)

The members of Christ the King Presbyterian Church are called to two upcoming Congregational Meetings.

The first is on Sunday, October 18, 2020 at 7:00 PM and will be held virtually. Business to be conducted at the October meeting:
1. Consider the resignation of Rev. Rick Downs as Pastor of Christ the King Presbyterian Church
2. Approve a process for forming a pastoral search committee*
3. Hear more information and ask questions related to placing an interim pastor in Cambridge and the search for a permanent replacement

The second is on Sunday, November 15, 2020 at 7:00 PM and will be held virtually. Business to be conducted at the November meeting:
1. Elect a pastoral search committee* for the purpose of recommending a pastoral candidate for Cambridge
2. Elect church officers – the slate of candidates to be elected will be shared upon approval by the Session

Grace Prep

Grace Prep in Watertown is a hybrid homeschool program that allows both the benefits of both a classroom and a homeschool environment. If you or someone you know is interested in attending or teaching, please let check it out graceprepboston.org! Grace Prep is still accepting new students for and hiring an upper grade teacher for 2019-2020. Rooms Available

Two rooms available in Cambridgeport. The first room is a summer sublet, $856 a month. The apartment is shared with 3 other Christian women. Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, and Hmart are a short walk away. Laundry onsite. Access to a driveway for parking and a small backyard for summer parties. (We own a fire pit, so summer s'mores!). The second room will be available starting September 1. This room is very large, has it's own entrance and full en suite bathroom. And a walk in closet! This room is 1300 a month! Childcare Needed

Clare Storck, a friend of many CTKers, is looking for a nanny starting in April. She has a 4-month old and will need 2-3 days: Tuesday, Thursday and/or Friday. She would ideally need coverage from 7:30a-5:30p. In addition to childcare, the job would involve some light cleaning/tidying, helping with laundry, and keeping kids toys cleaned up. Veritas Job Opening

The Veritas Forum has been involved in university engagement and Christian faculty development in Asia over the past 5 years. Looking for a Nanny

The Schuman family from CTK Somerville is looking for a full-time nanny 4-5 days per week for their 7-month-old son when the mother returns to work full time on Feb 1st. They live in East Somerville--a 10 minute walk from the Sullivan square station. If you're excited about infant development with a sweet, serious, focused, and laidback baby, this could be the job for you! This job is a little different from a typical full-time nanny position because their son is experiencing some delays in his gross motor development due to an injury he experienced at birth. The right nanny for him would have an active and compassionate personality and be curious about and excited for the opportunity to learn hands on physical therapy activities that are integrated into his daily routine.
