All kids ages 5 and up are invited to sing in a children’s choir for the Christmas Eve Lessons and Carols service. Brief rehearsals will take place after the service on Sundays, 12/9, 12/16, and 12/23. If interested, contact amanda@ctkcambridge.org for more information.
Clothing Swap Survey
Thank you to all who participated in this year's Clothing Swap! Please fill out this survey to let us know if there are any ways we could improve in the future.
A/V Volunteers
CTK's music ministry is looking for guitar and bass players to join the music team that leads congregational singing during Sunday services. Volunteers participate approximately once a month. Please contact amanda@ctkcambridge.org for more information.
Calling All Singers
Calling All Singers! We are putting together an a cappella choir to sing several Advent selections during the service on Sunday, December 2. The first rehearsal will take place on Saturday morning, November 10, at 10:30 a.m. in the sanctuary. If you are interested in lending your voice, please email Amanda.
Sunday School teacher
A Sunday School teacher is needed to join our Grade 4 & 5 team to step in for someone moving away the end of October. Class meets from 8:45–9:45am and curriculum materials are provided. The team rotates teaching and assisting so two teachers are in class each week and teachers have some Sundays off. This is a great opportunity to build relationships with children in the church. Please contact Dana (dana@ctkcambridge.org) for more information.
New CG
There is a new community group starting on October 3 in the Central Sq./Inman Sq./Harvard Sq. area. Hosted by Alex and Megan MacKay, the group will meet on Wednesdays at 7:30p. To learn more, email Alex.
Volunteer Schedules
The volunteer schedules for October through December have been completed and volunteers will receive an email with their schedule shortly. We also encourage volunteers to subscribe to the calendar on planning center to integrate your volunteer schedule with your iOS, Google, or Outlook calendar. Please contact schedules@ctkcambridge.org if you have any questions. The leadership and staff of CTK are so grateful for all the ways you serve!
Women's Bible Study Groups
Women’s Bible Study Groups will be going through the “Sermon on the Mount” Bible study by Jen Wilkin. This is an opportunity for fellowship and structure for studying the Word individually and together. Contact Laura Martin for more information.
Sunday's Songs
Check out our Sunday's Songs page at ctkcambridge.org/songs, which includes recordings of the upcoming Sunday’s congregational hymns, as well as songs for Children's Worship, all created by CTK musicians. We encourage attenders of all ages to avail themselves of this resource as we prepare for Sunday morning services.
Updated Directory Coming Soon
An updated directory is coming soon, so please contact Sarah Goodman if you have a new address or if you would like to use an updated photo.
CTK Lending Library
The CTK Lending Library is officially open. If you would like to borrow a book from our collection in the social hall, please follow the instructions posted in that area. There is also an area for donating books — we’re accepting books that fall into the categories of Theology, Church History, Bible Study and Christian Living. All donations will need to be approved by staff and adoption into the collection is not guaranteed. If you have any questions, please email Laura for more information.
A/V Volunteers
CTK’s audio/visual ministry is looking for volunteers to run the projector during Sunday services. Volunteers serve once every 6 weeks or so. If you are interested in volunteering for this position, please contact Amanda for more information.
Sunday School Check-Ins
Note to Parents: in addition to Nursery, we are now using our check-in system during the Sunday School hour before the service for children from infants up to Grade 1. Please check your child in at one of the stations to receive matching parent and child security labels.
Community Groups
Community groups are central to our life together at CTK, and we encourage people to join a group near where they live, to gather over a meal and study, pray, and serve one another and our neighborhoods together. To find a group near you, visit ctkcambridge.org or email office@ctkcambridge.org.
Sunday School Teachers Needed
Enjoy building relationships with kids? Consider teaching Sunday School during the upcoming school year! Classes meet from 8:45–9:45am and curriculum materials are provided (training is also available as needed). Two full-time teachers are needed for our Grade 4 & 5 class and two half-time teachers for Grades K & 1. Contact Dana for more information.
Children's Sunday School (July 8)
Parents please note: With many families traveling and fewer kids, this week one combined Sunday School class (8:45-9:45am) will be offered for children 3 years to Grade 5 (in room 3). Note, childcare will also be available for those 2 years and under (in room 6).
Sunday's Songs
A reminder that samples of the songs for Sunday's worship service are posted on the website by the Wednesday before the service, along with the bulletin and the Scripture passage for the week. This is a great way to prepare for the service, especially for children who will be joining us during the service for the summer rather than being dismissed for Children's Worship. We encourage attenders of all ages to avail themselves of this resource.
Children's Worship
Children’s Worship classes will wrap up the year on the Story of Worship this Sunday, June 17. Please join us in the Social Hall after the service to view the gallery of art projects the children created. Parents, please note these classes will not meet over the summer and children will remain in the service to participate in all aspects of worship.
Informational Meeting
All CTK members are encouraged to attend an informational meeting for CTK members at 9:00am this Sunday, June 24 in the social hall. There will be no adult education class that morning. The topic of the meeting is the report delivered to the elders by GRACE. Due to the sensitive nature of the report, some discussion may be inappropriate for children. Children’s Sunday School classes will meet as usual. If you plan to have your children attend class that day (while you attend the meeting), we ask that they arrive by 8:45am to avoid interruption to these classes. For questions, please contact Nathan at nathan@ctkcambridge.org.
New Women's Ministry Leader
CTK is excited to announce that Laura Martin is stepping into the role of Coordinator of Women’s Ministry. We are also very grateful to Hannah Nation for her service in the role for the last several years. Thank you, Hannah and Laura! For more information or to connect to women’s ministry, contact Laura (laura.a.martin87@gmail.com) or visit the church website.
