Sunday School teacher
A Sunday School teacher is needed to join our Grade 4 & 5 team to step in for someone moving away the end of October. Class meets from 8:45–9:45am and curriculum materials are provided. The team rotates teaching and assisting so two teachers are in class each week and teachers have some Sundays off. This is a great opportunity to build relationships with children in the church. Please contact Dana (dana@ctkcambridge.org) for more information.
APRC
The session of Christ the King established the Abuse Prevention and Response Committee (APRC) in June 2018. This committee was announced on June 24, 2018 along with the session's response to an independent assessment of how our church responded to disclosures of misconduct in the church. This announcement is published on the APRC website listed below. To learn more about the APRC or get involved, please visit the APRC website, found at https://www.ctkboston.org/aprc.
Theology Reading Group
PLEASE NOTE: The theology reading group will not be meeting this week. The group usually meets on Friday afternoons from 4-5pm at The Field Pub in Central Square. This fall we are reading The Crucifixion by Fleming Rutledge, winner of Christianity Today’s 2017 Book of the Year Award, which presents a compelling, cross-centered vision that makes sense of human fallenness and magnifies God’s love and power to save sinners. Contact nathan@ctkcambridge.org for more information, or just show up!
Adult Ed: Biblical Theology of Genesis 1-12
PLEASE NOTE: The Adult Ed class, Biblical Theology of Genesis 1-12, will not be meeting this Sunday. It will resume on October 14th. Discovering CTK and children’s Sunday school are both still happening.
Discovering CTK
Change of venue: for this week only, Discovering CTK will be meeting in the social hall, not the office. Discovering CTK is a class for those interested in becoming a member or learning more about our church and denomination (PCA), will be offered this fall during the Adult Education hour. Please email office@ctkcambridge.org with any questions.
Women's Ministry Hike
All women are invited to enjoy fall foliage and fellowship with a hike in the Middlesex Fells this Sunday, October 7. Contact Emily Stuntz with any questions, or if you need a ride or can provide a ride.
Children's Ministry Conference
Registration is still open for the Children’s Ministry Conference next weekend. You may visit Established Boston for more details, but please contact Dana before registering to get a code to save $15. The Christ the King congregations will be jointly hosting a Children’s Ministry Conference on October 12 & 13 (at our building). This “Established” conference (based on Ps. 78:5-7a) is sponsored by the PCA and will provide training and support for those involved in Children’s Ministry through a variety of workshops, taught by both visiting and CTK speakers. Parents, children’s teachers and ministry leaders are encouraged to attend.
