On June 23, our denomination (the PCA) passed an important overture to “recognize, confess, condemn, and repent of corporate and historical sins, including those committed during the Civil Rights era, and continuing racial sins of ourselves and our fathers.” A study committee was also formed to develop specific steps that could be taken to effect racial reconciliation and the advance of the gospel.
