Pumpkin Event

CTK's 4th Annual Great Pumpkin event was a ton of fun this past Saturday with beautiful weather and great fellowship! A huge THANK YOU to all our volunteers, especially the O’Hern Family, the Jackson Family, Rebecca Meacham, Andrea Bootsma, and Amelia Porch who helped with event set-up, clean-up and pumpkin judging. You may view event photos and upload your own to this Google album.

Women's Bible Study

Ladies! Come study God’s Word together at one (or both!) of our Women’s Bible Studies! There is a weekly group that meets on Thursday mornings at 9:30a — reach out to Kelly Sawyer (Bostonkelly@gmail.com) for more info — and there’s an evening group that meets every other Wednesday at 7p — reach out to Jeanie and Kimberly (women@ctkcambridge.org) for details!

CW Recruitment

Are you ready to make a difference with the children at CTK? We’re on the lookout for at least 3 additional individuals to join our Children’s Worship team and help teach classes during the service this fall! Both lead teachers and classroom assistants are needed to serve about 2-3 times per quarter, and no experience is necessary. Here’s what you can expect:
🌟 Fun & Fulfillment: Serve our families in a way that’s both meaningful and enjoyable.
👫 Build Connections: Create lasting relationships with the amazing kids in our congregation.
📖 New Curriculum: All the materials are provided—just bring your energy and a willingness to serve!
Reach out to Dana Russell to learn more. As an added bonus, sign on between now and the end of August and receive a $5 Starbucks gift card!

Children's Worship Volunteers

Are you interested in serving children and families at CTK? Openings are available this fall to help teach our Children’s Worship classes during the service (the sermon time). Volunteers are needed to serve as lead teachers or classroom assistants about 2-3 times per quarter. Curriculum is provided in advance (with some lesson prep needed). This is a great opportunity to build relationships with the children in our congregation. Please reach out to Dana Russell if you are interested or to learn more.

Youth Ministry Volunteers

Being part of the Youth Ministry is not only an important way of connecting with the youth (grades 6-12) and showing God’s love, it can be so much fun!  There are many ways that you can get involved.  Please check out this sign-up and select any roles you’d be interested in learning more about. Feel free to email youth@ctkcambridge.org or speak directly to Gi Yoon-Huang at church on Sundays with any questions.  We look forward to teaming with you!

Men's Bible Study

The Friday morning men's Bible study is starting a new series looking at passages where God makes covenants with humanity, from the Garden of Eden to the new covenant in Jesus' blood. They meet 6:15-7:15am every Friday here on Zoom for fellowship, reading, reflection, and discussion. No preparation required, and visitors are welcome! Contact Andy (astuntz@gmail.com) with questions.

Building Committee

Exciting news! The Cambridge Historical Commission awarded CTK with a 2024 Preservation Award for our conservation efforts in our recent renovations! On Thursday, May 30th, Janis and Tim Dietz along with Tim Talun accepted the award on behalf of the CTK Building Committee. Once again, thank you to the Building Committee (Joe Buckley, Janis Dietz, Tim Dietz, Martha Olson, Mike Poor, Jesse Porch, Dana Russell, Andy Stuntz, and Tim Talun; Chaired by Janis Dietz) for your excellent and tireless work throughout the renovation process. Your efforts in stewarding our property at 99 Prospect Street are a testament to God’s faithfulness to our church and help us participate in the broader community of Cambridge.

Bike

Being tireless is generally considered a virtue in Cambridge ... unless you're a bicycle. The poor unfortunate ride seen here has been trapped on the bike rack at CTK for ages, and it's high time the deacons free it from its captor. But first, we want to give everyone a chance to claim the frame. If you believe this to be your erstwhile bike, please email the deacons at deacons@ctkcambridge.org by Tuesday, April 30. If there are no claimants by then, we will commute the bike’s sentence to a Cambridge Bicycle where it may find its long-sought redemption.

Meals Ministry

The Meals Ministry prepares and delivers meals to congregants who are going through life transitions such as a new baby, illness or surgery. We are looking for new volunteers who are interested in occasionally providing meals in this way. Reach out to Erin Ward at meals@ctkcambridge.org to find out more information or if you yourself are in need of meals or know someone who could benefit from meals.

CW Music

Can you play guitar, ukulele or carry a tune but serving on stage with the worship team is not for you? We are looking for some musicians and singers to periodically lead songs in our Children’s Worship classes (takes about 10 minutes during the service). You don’t need to be a rockstar—singers and musicians of all levels are welcome. If you can lend your talents in service of our kids, please contact Dana (dana@ctkcambridge.org).
