CTK Stories is a monthly newsletter that gives updates about the greater CTK Network of churches in the Boston area. You can read the most recent edition with an update from Logan and Melissa Keck from CTK Dorchester here.
New CG
A new online Community Group is meeting on Mondays from 8p-8:45p. The group will follow the same format as other community groups in that it will meet weekly, and go through the sermon notes and with time of prayer and fellowship. What will be different is that this group will consist only on-line, through Zoom. If you are interested in joining, please contact office@ctkcambridge.org.
PCA Unity Fund
Rick mentioned the PCA Unity Fund during the service this past Sunday. The PCA Unity Fund is an initiative committed to raising up leaders from diverse ethnic backgrounds in the PCA through education, training, and mentorship. You may remember hearing from Rev. Scott Bridges back in January when he came to speak to our congregation about this initiative. You can learn more by watching this video or visiting their website.
Livestreamers
Live-streaming has become an essential component to our Sunday gatherings, but we are in need of more volunteers to broadcast the service. Learning does not require expertise or particular tech savvy. If you would be willing to learn more, we’ll have an informational/training call on Zoom on Thursday, 6/18 at 7:30pm. Attending this meeting doesn’t mean you’ve committed to the role - it’s simply a way to learn more about how the livestream works. If you have questions, please contact laura@ctkcambridge.org.
Boston Fellows Applications
The Boston Fellows is a nine-month fellowship for young professionals at CTK and other Boston churches to cultivate the worldview, in prayer and in the community of the local church, necessary for meaningful vocation, in a cohort of peers, spiritual leaders, and professional mentors. Applications are being accepted now for the 2020-21 cohort, which will begin in September. See www.BostonFellows.com to apply or for more information about the nine-month fellowship (or about the shorter, vocation-specific Boston Fellows industry cohorts), or contact Nathan Barczi at nathan@ctkcambridge.org.
Mobile Library
Despite all the books available digitally these days, sometimes it's nice to hold one while you read. Perhaps, there is a book you want to purchase for your household, but want to look at if first. If you are interested in accessing or having books delivered to you from the CTK Lending Library during isolation, please email Lara Kastelein (lara@ctkcambridge.org).
Scam Email
Please be aware, several CTKers have received scam emails from someone claiming to be Rick Downs. Please do not respond to these emails, and we recommend you report them to your email service as phishing attempts. Rick will never ask for you to spend or send money. If in doubt, contact the office with questions or concerns.
Family Resources
Parents, in an effort to support you as you encourage your children to participate in our livestream worship services, you can find online resources and worship activities at ctkcambridge.org/worship-kids.
Parents: Home Resources
Parents, please contact Dana if you would like to receive the new CTK Kids Newsletter via email each week. You may also access all past newsletters.
Opportunities for Prayer
The PCA is inviting the Church to participate in 30 Days of Prayer. See https://pcaga.org/prayer/ for specific requests for each day.
Directory
A reminder that the church has an online, password-protected directory for all members who choose to participate. Please contact the church office if you need a reminder of the password.
Calling all singers
Calling all singers, far and near! Although we are not able to put together our annual a cappella choir for this year's Holy Week services, we've decided our physical distance should not keep us from singing. CTK is assembling its first-ever online choir, and you are invited to join us! Check out www.ctkcambridge.org/online-choir for more information and resources, and email amanda@ctkcambridge.org with questions.
Calling All Singers
Calling All Singers! We are putting together a choir to sing selections at the upcoming Good Friday (4/10) and Easter Sunday (4/12) services. The first rehearsal will be Saturday, March 28 at 10:30 am. If you are interested in lending your voice, please contact amanda@ctkcambridge.org.
Easter Breakfast
We’re in need of help with the Easter Sunrise Breakfast on Sunday, April 12th, or with preparing the meal on Saturday, April 11th. All food will be purchased by the church. If you are interested in volunteering, please email laura@ctkcambridge.org.
Readings in John
For daily readings to follow along as we go through this sermon series in John, visit ctkcambridge.org/daily-bible-readings.
CtR Launch
Christ the Redeemer Quincy has started having weekly worship services every Sunday at 4 p.m. at 136 Rawson Rd. in the Wollaston neighborhood of Quincy. The church is just 1/2 mile from the Wollaston stop on the Red Line. Let’s be an encouragement to Matt Owens and this new church plant by attending a service sometime in March or April. You can check out their website here.

Getaway Survey
Whether you attended the Getaway this year or not, the staff at CTK would love to get your feedback in this survey. We’re always looking for ways to improve the weekend and make it as beneficial, accessible, and enjoyable as possible.
Getaway Registration
There are still some spots available for the Winter Getaway! in Alton, NH on January 31-February 2. Visit ctkcambridge.org/getaway for more information and to register!
For those attending the Getaway: housing assignments will go out tomorrow and ride share and volunteer assignments will go out next week. We are looking for a few more people who can offer rides up to the Getaway from the Cambridge/Somerville area. If you can give a ride, please contact Laura.
