HCC Postpartum Support Group

Registration extended thru August 5 - Harbor Christian Counseling's short-term weekly support group for women experiencing symptoms of postpartum depression and other difficulties with adjustment to motherhood will instead meet on Wednesday evenings (for six consecutive weeks) beginning July 25 at the Cambridge YMCA. The postpartum mothers group will be facilitated by one of HCC's clinical interns who has previously led similar groups at the Boston Center for Pregnancy Choices. Registration is required as space is limited. Additional details about time, location, and cost can be found via the registration page and downloadable PDF flyer.

Sunday's Songs

A reminder that samples of the songs for Sunday's worship service are posted on the website by the Wednesday before the service, along with the bulletin and the Scripture passage for the week.  This is a great way to prepare for the service, especially for children who will be joining us during the service for the summer rather than being dismissed for Children's Worship.  We encourage attenders of all ages to avail themselves of this resource.

Informational Meeting for Members

In response to inquiries we’ve received, we want to tell you that the topic of the informational meeting scheduled for 9:00am on June 24 is the report delivered to the elders by GRACE.  Due to the sensitive nature of the report, some discussion may be inappropriate for children.  Parents are reminded that our usual Sunday School classes will be open, and we request that children be dropped off at the start of class at 8:45 to avoid interruption of the classes.

Housing needed for Tufts student

Housing Needed:  29-year-old male young professional in Florida who is moving to Boston at the end of June to begin a Ph.D at Tufts (downtown campus) is looking for housing.  He is very involved at City Church in Gainesville, FL and hopes to find a similar community to become a part of within Boston.  He is currently seeking a summer sublet for July-August and would prefer to live with other believers. Please email Robert Bowden if you know of an available space..

Housing Needed

CTK has received a request for hospitality: Bill and Trish Johnson will be in the Boston area from June 18-23 as they seek expert medical advice for their baby daughter, Brielle.  If you have space available for them, please contact Bill or Trish at trishjohnson218@gmail.com.  (If you're unable to do June 18-23 but would be open to hosting them in the future, please also reach out to them, as they will be coming back in the future for more testing.)   Please consider opening your home for a few days.  Thanks!

Informational Meeting

All CTK members are encouraged to attend an informational meeting for CTK members at 9:00am this Sunday, June 24 in the social hall. There will be no adult education class that morning. The topic of the meeting  is the report delivered to the elders by GRACE.  Due to the sensitive nature of the report, some discussion may be inappropriate for children.  Children’s Sunday School classes will meet as usual.  If you plan to have your children attend class that day (while you attend the meeting), we ask that they arrive by 8:45am to avoid interruption to these classes.  For questions, please contact Nathan at nathan@ctkcambridge.org.

All-Church Picnic

All-Church Picnic 2018.jpg

Please make plans to join us this Saturday for the CTK All-Church Picnic. Google Maps et al will only get you in the vicinity, so here are exact directions to Houghton Pond Picnic Area 5, where we will be gathering — it's just 35 minutes from Cambridge, and rides are available for those who need them. Please contact Sarah Goodman if you are able to help with grilling, games or leading a hike.
