Men's Fellowship Group

Are you a man? Do you eat lunch? If you can answer "yes" to both of those questions, then you are eligible to join the Harvard Square Men's Group for our weekly lunch gatherings at Charlie's Kitchen. We are now meeting at a new time: Wednesdays at noon. Come enjoy some good pub food and participate in conversation topics ranging from John Calvin to Tom Brady to constitutional democracy to why you really should root for the Chicago Cubs Boston Red Sox. Please contact Mike Poor to be added to the distribution list.

Christmas Eve

Begin the Christmas celebrations with us on Christmas Eve at 6pm with a family-friendly service of Lessons and Carols. Invite friends and neighbors as we read through the Christmas story Genesis through the Gospels and sing Christmas hymns that celebrate the coming of our Lord. Please note, there is no childcare available during this service, but the upstairs nursery is open to children and their parents as needed.

Starlight

Back in November, Arvelle Adamson of Starlight Ministries came to speak about the ways this organization works to support those experiencing homelessness and possible ways CTK could partner with Starlight. One upcoming opportunity he mentioned was a Starlight Ministries Christmas Banquet on December 14. You can find their flyer here and sign up to help here. There are going to be several shifts during the day.

The Arts Ministry at CTK Somerville is hosting an art show on December 14th at 2pm and 7:30pm called Incarnate Arts. The show will be structured around a series of Christmas-related Scripture passages that will be read before or during a correlating piece. Visual, written, and performing arts will be represented in the show. For more information, contact the CTKS Arts Ministry Director, Aseneth Castaneda.
