Soccer Nights is a free summer evening youth soccer clinic that seeks to promote athletic skill, leadership development, and citywide unity in neighborhoods throughout Greater Boston. This year the clinic will run from Monday June 23rd to Friday June 27th 2025 (5 evenings). This year will be bigger, including participation from various churches in the Greater Boston area: Central Square Church, Park Street, Pentecostal Tabernacle, Hope Fellowship, Highrock, City Life, Hilltop, etc. As a collaborative effort organized by multiple churches in Cambridge, this is a great opportunity to love neighbors and to be a blessing to the children in our city. If you’d be interested in volunteering, the sign up form is here. Please sign up by May 19.
Softball Team
We are fielding a softball team for the Boston Metro Church Softball League again this summer. Games are played Saturday mornings, starting June 7th through August/September. It is a fun way to fellowship with members of the greater Boston Church community, and spectators are more than welcome. If you are interested in playing (or spectating!), please contact Owen Andrews (joandrews33@gmail.com) to be added to the mailing list.
Housing Needed
Housing Needed: Might you know of a housing opportunity for a kind, responsible 28 y/o Afghan man with good English? He worked for the US Embassy in Kabul, escaped the Taliban and is now an MBA student at UMass. He is hoping to rent a room with a host family, or any one willing to rent a room to him. His dream is to provide financial literacy training to Afghans and other US immigrants. He has already significantly helped an Afghan family that a church group has supported since the exodus from Kabul in 2021. If you may know of a housing opportunity, please contact Barb Ludwig (friend of CTK member Jeanie Carson), at bbludwig@comcast.net or 978-502-3204.
