There’s still space available for the 2024 CTK Getaway, taking place January 26 thru January 28! Visit ctkcambridge.org/getaway for more information and to register!
No Cambridge Service
Please note, because of our annual Winter Getaway, we will not have a Sunday service in Cambridge this Sunday (1/28). If you’re looking for somewhere local to worship, please check out CityLife in Boston or Seven Hills in Somerville.
BR available
Available to rent: 1 bedroom available in a 3 bedroom apartment at Revere. Other roommate is a Christian and the landlord is pastor Kelly Madden (the lead of the Boston Fellows program), so it is a nice opportunity for a girl who is looking for a lovely Christian home. It will be available last week of January for move in. The address is 165 Bellingham Ave - close to Beachmont station blue line. Interested people can contact Miriam, the tenant (miriam.riad222@gmail.com) and pastor Kelly, the landlord (kelly.alvin.madden@gmail.com).
Men's Bible Study
The Friday morning men's Bible study is starting a new study in John, so it's a great time to visit! They meet 6:15-7:15am every Friday here on Zoom for fellowship, reading, reflection, and discussion. No preparation required. Contact Andy (astuntz@gmail.com) with questions.
Women's Bible Study
The Thursday Morning Women’s Bible Study will be starting up again on January 25th at 9:30a in the Social Hall. This semester, they’ll be studying the book of Lamentations. All are welcome!
Volunteer Appreciation
Parking
On-Call Nursery
Nursery Families & Volunteers: Starting January, a new “On Call” role will be added to Nursery to enhance staffing to better care for and support families, staff and volunteers. The on call volunteer will be asked to be on hand the Sunday scheduled to fill in for someone out the last minute or if the room is full and an extra set of hands is needed. Volunteers may check their email inboxes for additional details about how serving on call will work (sent last week), and you may also contact Dana Russell (dana@ctkcambridge.org) for more information or with questions.
12/24 Nursery
Nursery Families: Please note that with inadequate staffing and anticipation of lower numbers of children with many traveling, Nursery will NOT be open for drop-off care (for children 3 years and under) during the 4pm Christmas Eve service. Here’s what we plan to make available for families to choose what works best for them: the livestream of the service and a selection of toys will be available in the Social Hall and the nursery rooms will be open for diaper changing, nursing mothers or families in need of a quiet space.
Advent Wreath
Parents, in the service this Sunday we will continue our Advent celebration by lighting the next candle in our wreath! Presenters will prepare a special teaching for the kids and, as has been the tradition at CTK, we’ll invite any children who would like to come up to the front to sit (parents, feel free to escort them). Families are also welcome to remain in the pew if preferred.
