This past Sunday’s passage was Nehemiah 3, where the Israelites begin rebuilding the gates and walls of Jerusalem. You can follow along here with the reading alongside a map of Jerusalem.
Adult Ed
Our sermon series in Nehemiah has been calling us back to community. One way to answer that call could be in attending the new Adult Education class, which started on October 16th in the social hall at 9:15a. Leonard Layne will be teaching a 6-week class on Life Together by Dietrich Bonhoeffer, facilitating discussions on how God is at work and how we rebuild in our life together.
CTK Stories
CTK fam! You may recall the passage we looked at 2 weeks ago (Neh. 2:9-20) where Nehemiah shares how God had been on the move in his life and how I shared ways God has been on the move in our family's life to get us here with you all. In light of that, I asked us to find ways to share our own stories on how God has been at work to sustain, equip and grow us for being on mission to rebuild. I want to give you a specific opportunity to do that.
I'd love it if you would share a short story of how God has been on the move in your life with us. The idea is to feature stories in the reader during the remainder of our sermon series. You could offer a short (3 min) video or a 300 word (or less) written version of a story - whichever you like best. Kids are welcome to share too! Or if you don't want your story published, but you do want to share it with me or the other leaders of the church, we'd be glad to hear it and be encouraged by it all the same.
You can upload your video or document to this shared Dropbox folder.
Looking forward to hearing about how God has been on the move!

MGH
13 Ukrainian physicians have been invited to spend 3 months at Massachusetts General Hospital for continuing training in the area of transplantation, starting in mid September. Ukraine Medical Outreach (UMO) is a Christian medical group run by Jim Peipon MD, who is the father of a former CTK member. This organization is partnering with several other groups to try and find accommodations for these visiting physicians and have reached out to churches in the area. The visiting physicians are trying to ensure housing before purchasing flights. If you have space and may be willing to host one of these folks, please contact Tyler Holley at tylerbholley@gmail.com.
