CHILD PROTECTION screening

Child safety is very important to us at Christ the King and during the pandemic we’ve made some changes to our policies that affect all who serve with our kids. We’d like to ask all new and existing volunteers (those who served before the pandemic) to complete the safety measures described below, whether or not you’ll be ready to serve in the coming months.

Attend an online training session to review our new CTK Child Protection Policy. Please email dana@ctkcambridge.org to find out about the next scheduled date/time.

Complete / update your background checks. We are now conducting two checks on all our volunteers.

MA CORI Checks: New volunteers and most all volunteers previously checked are due to complete a CORI. You may fill out the acknowledgement form in advance, but please plan to give to Dana Russell or Lara Kastelein at church as we are required to check your ID (driver’s license or passport) in-person. Blank forms will also be available at church.

National Check: As part of our updated policy, we’re now also conducting multi-jurisdictional checks for all volunteers. Consent for this check may be granted electronically. Contact Dana Russell to receive a link via email.

COVID Vaccination. For the added protection of our children ineligible to be vaccinated at this time, we’re inviting those volunteers who have been fully vaccinated to serve with kids. Please email Dana Russell a copy of your vaccination card (a photo taken with your phone is fine).
